A Festival of Creativity

A creative festival celebrating all things woolly and wonderful, Yarndale plays host to an impressive selection of talented and passionate exhibitors.

Celebrating the brilliance of yarn in all its forms, the award-winning festival brings together over 180 makers, craft workers, retailers, and artisans in the picturesque market town of Skipton, North Yorkshire.

Keen to encourage and inspire creativity in everyone, they work with an extensive mix of enthusiastic exhibitors, tutors and speakers to showcase the pleasure of making and the beautiful yarns, threads and textiles on offer.

The show is designed to encourage everyone to share ideas. To spark your own creativity with the chance to meet and chat with exhibitors from all over the country and beyond, get thoroughly enthused by new project possibilities and a fabulous range of yarny stuff, to celebrate all things handmade and generally get creative with yarn. Every aspect of the yarn journey is represented, from the woolly animals themselves, through the various stages of production to the beautiful finished products.

Visitors are able to try their hand at all sorts of skills and techniques in a range of workshops led by experienced practitioners and listen to some inspirational designers, bloggers and speakers in our Creative Conversations sessions.
