Alexandra Hotel, Fort William
An open-fire features in the hotel’s lounge where guests can relax with a drink. Local, Scottish produce is served in the Alexandra’s traditionally decorated restaurant. Rooms are spacious and have a private bathroom with a selection of toiletries. A TV, work desk and tea and coffee facilities are included in all rooms.

Dark Island Hotel, Isle of Benbecula
The Dark Island hotel is located on the south island of Benbecula in a peaceful location. There is plenty of space in which to relax, both in the bar and the quiet exterior courtyard, and there is a tranquil beach where rare wildlife can be seen just a short stroll from the hotel. All 42 bedrooms vary in style and decoration and each is equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift but there are ground floor rooms and the restaurant is spacious. This is a real ‘get away from it all’ hotel that provides an opportunity to meet the locals who frequent the bar and restaurant.

Caladh Inn, Isle of Skye
This very friendly family-run 3 star hotel enjoys a central location in Stornoway, about a 15 minute walk from the town centre. All 67 well-sized bedrooms are traditionally styled in Harris tweed fabrics and each is equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is an informal, spacious restaurant, a bar offering comfortable seating and a relaxing lounge with sofas and armchairs.

Fishers Hotel, Pitlochry
Centrally located in the beautiful Victorian Town of Pitlochry in the Perthshire Highlands, Fisher's Hotel is just 500 metres from Pitlochry Rail Station. The spacious bedrooms each have a TV and a private modern bathroom with a hairdryer. All rooms feature a trouser press and telephone, and tea/coffee facilities are provided. There is also a cosy lounge with real log fires and garden views.

Thu - This morning we depart the local area and make our way to the Alexandra hotel, Fort William.

Fri - Today, we travel through the spectacular Scottish Highlands towards the Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye. Situated on an island at the point where three sea lochs meet, Eilean Donan is one of the most iconic images of Scotland. From the Kyle of Lochalsh, we cross the magnificent Skye road bridge onto the Isle of Skye itself and enjoy the scenic drive past the dramatic Cuillin Hills and through the island’s capital, Portree. We arrive at the port of Uig from where we take a ferry to Lochmaddy (with dinner on board) on the Isle of Benbecula, our destination for the next two nights.

Sat - This morning, we explore stunning South Uist, an island of the Outer Hebrides with crystal clear water and white powder beaches. We pass the ruins of the 18th century Ormacleit Castle towards the Isle of Eriskay, which is linked by a stone causeway. This beautiful little island is where Bonnie Prince Charlie first set foot on Scottish soil and is also known for its famous, semi-wild ponies. While there we take the lunchtime ferry over to the Isle of Barra for a short visit. From beaches and hills to machair and moors, there is so much packed into this small island and if you’re lucky you’ll see tourist planes landing on the beach! Afterwards, we take a return ferry home.

Sun - Today, we travel across North Uist, alongside 13 miles of stunning sandy beaches, fresh water lochs and rolling moorland hills before reaching Berneray, reputedly one of King Charles III’s favourite destinations. From here, we board the ferry to Leverburgh on the Isle of Harris, which offers an incredibly diverse landscape.  Tonight we settle into our new hotel Caladh Inn on the Isle of Lewis where we stay for the next 2 nights.

Mon - Today we enjoy a guided tour of the island’s fantastic scenery. Lewis is the largest and most populated of the Western Isles, although it remains refreshingly unspoilt and uncrowded. Home to some of the most important seabird colonies in the UK, the Isle of Lewis is a haven to all forms of wildlife.  This afternoon we visit Gearrannan Blackhouse Village and step back in time as we experience the way of life in a typical crofting township of the 19th century.

Tue - After breakfast enjoy your morning at leisure before we join the coach for the crossing from Stornoway to Ullapool. We make our way to our overnight hotel in Pitlochry.

Wed - After breakfast your day is at leisure to relax and enjoy Pitlochry. You'll find plenty of things to do in Pitlochry. Head along to this pleasant and peaceful place and enjoy the relaxing and beautiful surroundings of Highland Perthshire.

Thu - After breakfast we depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
