Visit The World of Wedgewood and Trentham Gardens

Join us on a tour of the Wedgwood Factory for a behind-the-scenes experience where we reveal how Wedgwood is designed, created and crafted.

This is the place to discover the craftsmanship of our famous jasperware, a unique invention by Josiah Wedgwood I. Marvel at the extraordinary skills of our talented workers who cast, glaze, decorate and gild in our original 1940s working factory.

  • The Factory closes during Easter week, the August bank holiday and Christmas.
  • A walking guided tour takes approximately 45 minutes. There is no seating along the way, however, the route is wheelchair-friendly and wheelchairs or folding seats can be reserved from reception.
  • The tour includes visual displays such as film, written interpretation, audio, as well as viewing the factory at work.

In the Morning, we visit Trentham Gardens.

Centrally located in North Staffordshire, Trentham is influenced in style by the adjacent Italian Gardens, Trentham creates an environment that is both inspirational and aspirational. Displaying a huge range of indoor and outdoor living products, as well as everything for the home and garden, customers are further spoilt for choice with three superb places in which to relax and dine – Terrazzo del Giardino, Caffé Bello and the Six Arches Restaurant.

Trentham is also home to the flagship food store – Brown and Green. Located in the Shopping Village just a minutes walk from Trentham Garden Centre, their extensive store stocks a vast range of food and drink from local and artisan producers.
