Itinerary
Mon - Morning departure as we make our way to Holyhead to make the crossing to Dublin. We continue on to our hotel in Enniscorthy, Tonight enjoy your evening meal at the hotel.
Tue - Today we head to New Ross where we enjoy a 90 minute, round trip, river cruise on the River Barrow to Waterford City. Take in the panoramic views while pondering the history of the river on this unique trip. On our return to New Ross we enjoy some free time to explore this historic port town before we head to visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship in the afternoon. Here costumed performers provide a world-class interpretation of the famine emigrant experience, providing a unique insight into the bravery and fortitude of the Irish people.
Wed - We spend today at leisure in the vibrant city of Dublin, home to many famous attractions. Why not take yourself off for a visit to the famous Guinness Storehouse, historic Dublin Castle, take a cruise on the River Liffey or simply enjoy a spot of shopping before relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere in the famous Temple Bar pub, the authentic home of Irish music, the largest selection of whiskies in Ireland and the pub with the largest selection of sandwiches in the world!
Thu - We spend our morning at leisure in the city of Kilkenny. After free time for lunch we visit the Smithwick’s Experience. We learn about the history of Ireland’s oldest ale, brewed since 1710, and stroll through the centuries on our interactive tour followed, of course, by a tasting!
Fri - After breakfast we depart the hotel and retrace our steps back to Dublin for our crossing back to Holyhead.
