Whitby is known for its picturesque harbour, stunning cliff-top views, and historic abbey ruins. The town has a rich history, with evidence of human habitation dating back to the Bronze Age.
A trip to Whitby would not be the same without climbing the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, counting as you go, and exploring the beautiful ruins which tower over the town. Many flock to Whitby for its boutique shops and quirky streets, where you will find unique Whitby jet jewellery and other fascinating items.
Bridlington has a rich maritime history, with fishing and shipbuilding being important industries for many years. The town is home to several historic landmarks, including the Bridlington Priory, the Bayle Museum, and the Harbour Heritage Museum.
Scarborough really does have it all; dramatic cliffs and castle headland, award-winning beaches, historic harbour, great family attractions and a booming town centre

The Royal Hotel, Whitby

Overlooking Whitby Harbour, the Royal Hotel Whitby is situated opposite the famous Whalebone Arch in the West Cliff area of Whitby. With breath-taking views of the ruined Gothic Whitby Abbey, the hotel offers a bar, free wi-fi and a restaurant. Mon - This morning we depart the local area and make our way straight to Whitby. Enjoy your afternoon exploring this fine town. Tonight make sure you are back at the hotel for your evening meal.

Tue - After breakfast spend your day in Whitby.

Wed - This morning we depart the hotel and make our way to our first stop in Bridlington for some free time, before rejoining the coach and making our way to Scarborough for the afternoon. We later return to the hotel for our evening meal.

Thu - After breakfast spend your day in Whitby.

Fri - After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way to Pickering, spend some time exploring before we commence the homeward journey.
