Fri - This morning we depart the local area and make our way to Worcester, a beautiful Cathedral and University City with a fascinating history, located in the heart of the West Midlands on the banks of the River Severn. A market is held in Angel Place in the heart of the city centre, every Thursday Friday, and Saturday! We later continue on to our hotel in Swindon for our evening meal.
Sat - After breakfast we depart the hotel where we drive through the Cotswolds to make our first stop at Stow-on-the-wold, a charming market town in the Cotswolds known for its historic buildings, traditional pubs, and picturesque streets. We later move on to our next stop at Bourton-on-the-water, famous for its honey-coloured stone architecture and idyllic village scenes. We return this evening to our hotel for our evening meal.
Sun - After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way to Cirencester, known as the Capital of the Cotswolds, is a lovely market town with a fascinating history where you will receive a warm welcome. Cirencester, known as 'Corinium', was founded by the Romans and was for several centuries a prosperous Roman town, the second largest in Roman Britain after London. We later commence the homeward journey.
