The 4 star Great Northern Hotel sits in a stunning location overlooking the Wild Atlantic Way with amazing ocean views. All 104 spacious, fully equipped bedrooms are well decorated, with some offering views across the ocean or golf course. The superb restaurant boasts fantastic ocean views and there is a great bar, terrace and lounge. Leisure facilities include an indoor pool, sauna, steam room & spa bath.

Itinerary

Mon - This morning we depart the local area and make our way to Holyhead for our crossing over to Dublin. We then continue to our hotel for our evening meal.

Tue - Our day starts with a fabulous scenic drive, taking in parts of the Wild Atlantic Way to the picturesque Rosses Point. Here, we enjoy a fascinating walking tour, discovering the history of the area’s coastal heritage. This afternoon, we travel to Sligo where we have time for lunch and to explore at leisure.

Wed - This morning we visit the highest marine cliffs in Europe, the towering Slieve League Cliffs. From the cliffs’ visitor centre, we board a minibus for a guided tour of the cliffs.
In the afternoon, we head to Glencolmcille Folk Village where we step back in time and take a self-guided tour.

Thu - Today, we make the short journey to Belleek Pottery, where we enjoy a 30 minute guided tour of Ireland’s oldest pottery producer. We then have free time for lunch in Donegal before taking

Fri - After breakfast we depart the hotel and make our way back to Dublin for our crossing back to Holyhead where we continue the homeward journey.
